Summary:
The smart board is more modern, and it allows the children to participate. It lets them be hands on while learning! Also, we got a digital camera and a video camera because we felt that it would be great to have when we take our children on field trips, or if we need it for any other special occasion in the classroom. We decided to buy our class iclickers because they are a great way to get all students in the class involved in a fun and interactive way. They are extremely easy to use and very durable, so they can last in the classroom for years. We felt that we should provide a few new computers with our budget. We decided to get five to replace the outdated computers. A couple of the other computers can still be kept as extras. Of course, with five new computers we need five new keyboards and mice as well. We also concluded that 2 printers would be helpful. The printer we chose has a scanner/copier, so if a quick copy is needed, there is no need to go use the school’s copier. All the software chosen are educational and will help the students learn and develop in certain curriculum areas. Software for mice and keyboards are not necessary because one simply needs to just plug it in and use it. The SMART Board allows students to have a more interactive and hands-on approach to learning. All of the software for the Board is educational because it was designed for the classroom and can be used to help students understand concepts in a new and fun way. The majority of cameras come with most features already built in. However, there is software available that allows the user to transfer pictures and videos onto DVD's and Blu-ray discs. For both the printer and I-Clickers there are free downloadable software available on their websites which include features and tools. The software for the video camera is already included when your purchase the camera.
